DAY 1: PUERTO MALDONADO – JUNGLE ADVENTURE – CAMPING LODGE
Reception at the airport and transportation to Puerto Maldonado where you will embark on a 4-hour motorboat trip up the Tambopata River to the research center (box lunch provided on route). During the trip we will be able to observe the local farms, while groups of birds pass over the boat. There may be opportunities to see families of capybaras, the largest rodents in the world. Reception, accommodation at the lodge.

After a short rest we will have a brief introductory walk in the forest nearby to learn basic principles of ecology, hear some wildlife natural history, and observe the nocturnal life of insects, frogs of various colors, and an occasional encounter with nocturnal mammals. Return to the lodge for dinner. We will enjoy the diverse sounds of the jungle during our first night in Amazonia. Sleep at our Tambopata Camping Lodge. (L, D)

DAY 2: Reserva de Tambopata ZONE – Collpa de Guacamayos
Early wake up at 4:30 am to take a light breakfast (coffee or mate), to begin with our 40-minute journey upstream to the Collpa de Guacamayos “El Chuncho” in the Bahuaja-Sonene National Park. We will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful natural sceneries and wildlife of the riverbanks. At our arrival, if weather permits, we will observe one of the greatest wildlife spectacles where hundreds of parrots and different species of macaws gather to eat clay, an unforgettable experience. Then, we will walk through the river beach searching for animal footprints while we have refreshment. In the middle morning we return to the lodge to have breakfast and then take a rest to relax or do the adventure activities like: hiking and tree climbing, etc. or enjoy the facilities and the surroundings of the forest .

(At 11 am) We leave again to take a 10 minute river journey to enjoy “Cascadas del Gato” (Cat Cascades), where we will swim in a “natural Jacuzzi”. If you wish, you can join us to fish in the river where inhabit Leer más than 250 species of fish.

After lunch, we will have an ethno botanical walk into the rainforest by the Tambopata cross path, to learn about plants and medicinal trees of the area; and to observe the amazing jungle ecosystem where we will see walking palm trees, giant lupuna trees, snake trees and so on. At nightfall, we embark again to make a nocturnal caiman search. Night at Tambopata camping Lodge. (B, L, D)

DAY 03: Reserva de Tambopata ZONE – SAFARI CAMPING LODGE
After breakfast we will make a trip in boat to see a lot of parrots and birds eating the clay where we will enjoy and after have a tasty lunch. After lunch we will leave and travel for thirty minutes down River, where we will set our campsite in the evening after dinner We will have the opportunity to see caiman eyes , capybaras, night birds , after that we can make our campfire where our guide tell us the jungle history.

DAY 04: NATIVE FAMILY – CANOPY TOWER – SANDOVAL LAKE
After and early breakfast we travel for one hour on boat river down,. Then we will visit the native family where they’ll tell us about their culture and show us weapon souvenir, Then we will to the restaurant for lunch, after lunch a journey of about 30 minutes to reach a tower of 27 meters high, very comfortably climb the tower, which will allow us to reach a suspension bridge, and the launch pad, first cross the bridge over trees reaching 89 meters long at a height of 37 meters in the middle of the main branches of an ancient tree, great opportunity to see animals that are impossible from the ground, an unforgettable experience, then the Leer más the audience guide will prepare us for feel pure adrenaline, using all safety equipment will make a slip by a cable and we feel like a bird flying over the jungle, over 190 meters in a few seconds, then assured another suspension bridge 75 meters long at a height of 27 meters, and then have a shot Leer más in another line, this time will be 160 meters long. Then by motorized boat take us to the Sandoval oxbow lake port, from there we will enter to national reserve (TAMBOPATA CANDAMO) by walk. After checking, we start to walk about one hour and we will arrive to the Maloka Sandoval Lodge where will accommodate in our rooms, near the lake. The lodge has private bathroom and shower and it is located into the reserve zone what difference with the other lodges is. Where we guaranty you will see Leer más flora and fauna and be in touch with the nature, after accommodate we will have dinner and we can spot caimans around the lake.

DAY 05: MACAW PALM LICK – Reserva de Tambopata ZONE
We will get up very early to go to see macaw palm lick, this is a special place around the National Reserve where different types of macaws and parrots go to eat in the dead palms, the palms are rich in minerals as: calcium, sodium, potassium, etc. which is very important for the digestion. Then we will back to the lodge for the breakfast. After breakfast we will go for walking to see the amazing flora, and in the way we can see some mammals like: monkeys, deer, peccaries, tapirs, sloth, anteaters, etc. Then we back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch we can swim in the lake without danger. After that we are going to visit the Sandoval Lake on canoe where we will see the diversity of flora and fauna around the lake. Then we go back to the lodge for dinner. After dinner we can take a hike to see nocturnal animals as: night birds, insect, spiders, tarantulas, scorpions, frogs, etc. We overnight in our comfortable lodge.

DAY 06: PUERTO MALDONADO – TRANSFER TO CUSCO OR LIMA
Early morning after breakfast we will walk in the same way back to Puerto Maldonado and then to the airport or bus station, if you don’t have an early flight or bus, can stay on site Tarantula Eco-Hostel in Puerto Maldonado.
